The tuber itself externally does not stand out, but when cut, a gray-white color is visible. Such tubers are not stored for a long time and quickly rot, emitting an unpleasant odor.

In order to prevent bacteriosis, potatoes can be greened by exposure to the sun. Under the influence of sunlight, the alkaloid solanine is formed in the tubers, which saves the potato from pests, fungal and bacterial infections.
