The sowing campaign on the lands of the Astarta agricultural holding this year started much earlier than in the past, which was facilitated by the weather conditions of winter and spring.
At the moment, 18 thousand hectares have already been planted with sugar beet, which is 50% of the planned amount, company representatives said. On the lands of the western regions of Ukraine belonging to the agricultural holding, sunflower sowing has already begun.
About 2 thousand hectares allocated for this crop are sown. All agricultural enterprises that are part of the Astarta agricultural holding have already closed the winter moisture and introduced mineral fertilizers for sowing spring crops.
A characteristic feature of the current Astarta sowing campaign is the introduction of the Agri Management platform on all agricultural companies, which was the product of the development of the subsidiary IT structure Agri Chain. This platform allows planning, accounting and monitoring of the main production processes in real time.
The agricultural holding launches another of its modern tools - WMS (warehouse management system), which is based on bar coding technology and is designed to control movements and use the company's material and technical resources.
