In the agricultural sector of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the very near future, the implementation of the first stages of the project will begin, which involves the introduction of satellite technologies in agriculture.
An agreement was reached and secured by an agreement between representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and the administrations of companies such as the Boston Consulting Group and OneSoil. Information about this appeared on the official website of the republican Ministry of Agriculture.
The ministry also noted that now, based on the agreement, all parties together will begin the mass introduction of digital achievements in the agricultural sector of Uzbekistan. All tasks will be carried out within the framework of the Smart Agriculture program.
It is reported that all agricultural land of the country will be mapped, as well as agricultural crops in Uzbekistan.
It will not be superfluous to note that the program will be implemented primarily in the territory of one of the regions of the country - there, as an experiment, satellite images of fields with agricultural plants that were made in the multispectral range will be used.
