The village of Olshanskaya Novoselitsa, Vasilkovsky district of the Kiev region is torn by contradictions: the old and new chairmen of the Novoselitsky agricultural cooperative cannot share power. The cooperative practically does not work, the harvest is in jeopardy.
Recall that in the morning, April 13, 2019, about 50 people in balaclava and camouflage approached the SEC Novoselitsky. With dubious documents in their hands, young people tried to seize an agricultural enterprise.
Since spring, disputes on the topic of enterprise management have not subsided in the cooperative. In April of this year, the meeting elected a new leader. This fact, many members of the cooperative met with hostility. Now roads and field trips are blocked in the village, since neither side of the conflict wants to allow the other to either the field or the granary.
While the legality of the election of a new head of the cooperative is being proved in the courts, both sides are thinking about how to protect what they have grown. Representatives of the new chairman say they put the locks on, as access control is introduced in the territory.
Natalia Voitenko, chairman of the SEC “Novoselitsky”, said that representatives of law enforcement agencies will be present, as there is a decision that will arrest the crop, even if it is not harvested. It will not be taken out anywhere and it will be collected by those people who work here.
However, the former chairman of the cooperative does not agree with this. He said that under the leadership of Natalia Voitenko they will not harvest crops. Harvest themselves by knocking down the locks.
Harvesting in the village of Olshanskaya Novoselitsa is scheduled to begin one week later.
