Analysts at Rosselkhoznadzor propose carefully monitoring the export of red caviar from the Far East to other regions of Russia and outside the country.The fact is that representatives of the department are seriously concerned about the volume of exported caviar, which Russians buy in Far Eastern retail outlets and are exported outside the region for personal purposes. In a particularly “fishy” season, buyers manage to export up to fifty tons of caviar per month from the region.
“If you do not take the situation under control, in Russia the percentage of falsified caviar on the shelves of Russian stores, online stores and markets will probably increase,” experts say. “For example, not so long ago in the Moscow region an impressive batch of falsified caviar was seized, which fraudsters were actively selling to various regions of the Russian Federation.”

At the moment, it is too early to talk about how much the volumes of permissible caviar export from the Far East, which is known as the red and black caviar deposit of the highest class, will be cut.
