On the territory of the Russian Federation, a campaign was launched to mass harvest such types of feed for farm animals as rough and succulent.
It is known that current harvesting should provide livestock with food for the winter-stall period in the current year and in the first months of 2020 - until that time, until a new feed is prepared.
According to representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, at present, the country's farmers have managed to procure at least two and a half million tons of feed by common efforts. And this is without taking into account those blanks that still remain in storage from last year.
It will not be superfluous to note that to date, the procurers have managed to surpass themselves and lay forty-one percent more feed than in the same period last year.
We add that the volume of fodder procured today, which is positioned as coarse, is about two and a half million tons of feed units. The share of hay in the total volume exceeds seven hundred sixty three thousand tons, and the share of hay - at least one and a half million tons.
As for the succulent feed, the farmers managed to procure more than one hundred eighty-three thousand tons of silage. If we talk about the volume of fodder stocks in general, then at the moment Russian cattle are provided with food for seven and a half percent of the required figure.
