On the territory of the Kuban, sixteen enterprises are currently processing sugar beets at once.

Each year, their combined capacity allows the processing of about twelve million tons of raw sugar.

This was reported by representatives of the public relations department under the administration of the Krasnodar Territory. The ministry also emphasizes that sugar beet plantations today occupy more than one hundred ninety-eight thousand hectares in the Kuban open spaces.

And very soon, in early August of this year, a beet harvesting campaign will start, which will smoothly transfer to the large-scale process of processing root crops into sugar.

It will not be superfluous to note that last 2018, agricultural producers of the Kuban were able to produce over one million two hundred eighty thousand tons of sugar. It is noteworthy that the share of Kuban sugar in the all-Russian production of the product is twenty percent.

It is noted that to date, sugar refineries in the region are ready for a large-scale August work at ninety-eight percent. However, entrepreneurs still have some time to fully prepare their resources.
