As of September 1, 2019, the number of farmed poultry in Ukraine reached 254.8 million heads, which is 3.8% more than at the same date in 2018.

In the households, the number of poultry has not changed, having lost only 0.1%, decreasing to 128.1 million. The State Statistics Service notes that the data are given without taking into account the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, Sevastopol and part of the ATO zone.
Earlier it was reported that during the period from January to August of this year, Ukrainian poultry farmers grew 11.1% more (1.06 million tons) of poultry in live weight than in the previous year. During the reporting period, sales of poultry for slaughter were 11.6% higher (1.03 million tons).
At the same time, livestock farmers in Ukraine grew by 2.8% more pigs in live weight than in the same period of the previous year (352.3 thousand tons). During the reporting period, pigs for slaughter were also sold at 2.8% more, which is 331.2 thousand tons.
