On November 7, the State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted a law banning the return to the supplier of unsold perishable food products whose shelf life does not exceed 30 days.
The Federation Council approved the law on November 23 and handed it to President Vladimir Putin for signature.
Soon the law was signed. And now officially the goods, the shelf life of which does not exceed 30 days, which went on sale in retail chains and were not sold, are not refundable.

Note that this initiative came from the Deputy Speaker of the State Duma, Irina Yarovoy, with the assistance of Sergei Lisovsky, a member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.
“The adoption of this law will help us equalize all domestic producers and suppliers of agricultural products,” Lisovsky is sure. It is important that the terms of food supply contracts that were concluded before the signing of this law should be fulfilled within 180 days from the date of its inception.
