In Ukraine, a real hunt for farmers began. In order to somehow protect themselves and their families, farmers create armed groups and leave on alarm, as there is no need to wait for help from the police.

Ukrainian farmers say that they have been hunted for a long time, and they can only hope for their own strengths and mutual assistance.

Now there is a tendency to increase attacks on farms. At first, the raiders only stole from the farmers, and now they started to kill. Because of this, farmers take self-defense measures, creating self-defense units. But if the attack takes place in the dark, it is difficult to protect yourself.

All crimes that concern farmers remain unsolved. In the early days of April this year, in a Cherkasy region, a local farmer was attacked by attackers, after which he was sent to intensive care, where he drafted a statement to the police. The perpetrators were never punished, says Viktor Goncharenko, a member of the Association of Farmers and Landowners from the Cherkasy Region.

Another farmer from the Cherkasy region said that they created the Black Sea army, which protects agricultural producers. The squad has its uniform and weapons. When a signal arrives that someone is being robbed, the army leaves for help. But the police always stand aside and do not want to consider applications from farmers, Vasily Polishchuk said.

A farmer from the Kirovograd region said that for self-defense they also created "private armies", mainly consisting of former ATO soldiers and police officers. According to the entrepreneur, the wealthiest farmers leave protection even inside the house. In case of danger, the family is taken to another place, and a large amount of cash and valuables is no longer kept in home safes.
