This feature is the result of a joint development of the Chinese company Beijing Da-Bei-Nong Technology Group and the Argentinean Bioceres Group. The aim of the development of organizations was to create soybean seeds resistant to drought, harmful insects and herbicides.
However, seeds containing a new trait, according to a promulgated document, can only be commercialized after the Chinese government has authorized their import supplies.
According to the statement of the Secretariat of the Agro-industrial complex of the country, the governments of Argentina and China have created a bilateral group focused on biological technology and biosafety, which is working on GMO technologies so that, avoiding various trade barriers, as soon as possible new developments are passed on to farmers.
At the same time, according to unofficial information, the DBN attribute, which gives resistance to harmful insects, is already being evaluated on soybean plantations.
