2019 will go down in the history of the Vladimir region as a period of large-scale and purposeful struggle against such an insidious weed as Sosnovsky hogweed.

Efforts in the battle with this almost indestructible plant will be led by joint efforts: both agrarians and the authorities of the regional, city and rural administrations will join the work. Will join the destruction of the hogweed and employees of road services. Their field of activity will concentrate in those places where the cow parsnip has grown in lanes for road access.

Today it is known that the program for the extermination of the hogweed Sosnowski in the Vladimir region requires significant costs. According to preliminary data, the action will cost the region at least 26 thousand rubles per hectare. According to experts of the Department of Agriculture of the region, in 2018 and in the first months of this year, weed occupied territories with a total area of ​​2370 hectares. And the "invader" does not intend to dwell on this.

Vladimir activists will fight with hogweed with the help of innovative technologies, as well as with the help of chemicals and herbicides, which will treat overgrown areas.

In the Vyaznikovsky district alone, weed fighters will receive at least 700 thousand rubles to be allocated for the destruction of the hogweed Sosnovsky, which the local authorities allocated from the regional fund. Note that the campaign to exterminate this plant is carried out on average twice a year - before the onset of heat, in May, and also in late summer and early fall.
