As of today, June 18, 2019, all cattle listed on the balance sheet of agricultural enterprises of the Sakhalin Region have been completely transferred to grazing and keeping under conditions of summer pastures.
So, it became known that today about twelve thousand individuals — both cows and calves — live on summer pasture maintenance. Of these, at least six thousand animals belong to the so-called dairy breeds. And representatives of meat breeds, there are over five thousand individuals.
It will not be superfluous to note that before the cows were transported to summer pastures, seasonal grazing staff prepared special temporary sites for milking cows. In addition, an audit and repair of summer pasture equipment was carried out.
As for the "vacationers" themselves, before sending to the "summer camps" the cows and calves underwent a full medical examination and carried out the necessary vaccination.
It is important to emphasize that the period of summer vacations on the road will last for cattle of the Sakhalin Region until the middle of autumn of the current year.
During the stay of animals on summer pastures, industry experts assure, cattle will increase their immunity, strengthen their health and will be able to increase their reproductive functions due to special food and conditions.
