Experts note that the state of crops of spring grain and leguminous crops is assessed as good. Temperature indicators and the amount of precipitation are in balance, which is favorable for plant growth and the formation of their high productivity.

In some areas that were seeded with tall varieties, after strong winds with rains, lodging of ears is observed.

Biometric and morphological parameters of sunflower and corn show that this year the general condition of the above plants exceeds last year's by 15-20% and repeats 2016 figures.

Due to the extended sowing period from the first days of April to mid-May, cultivated plants formed 6-10 leaves. A positive effect on their condition will have inter-row cultivation of crops and their hilling, which will destroy the final wave of weeds and remove the crust on the surface of the earth after rains.
