The Matsesta Tea Factory is located in the village of Izmailovka, near the city of Sochi, and its products - Matsesta Tea and Krasnodar Tea since 1947 - are in high demand among residents of the Russian Federation.
The other day, Serbian investors became seriously interested in the production of this company and its products. Arriving in Russia as part of a foreign delegation, the Serbs showed increased attention to tea plantations in the Matsesta Valley, which grow on the mountain slopes of the Caucasus Range.
The whole seriousness of Serbian intentions became apparent when the Sochi delegation went on a return visit to the Balkans. It was then that Serbian investors showed their desire to buy Matsesta tea in large quantities. At the moment, negotiations are underway between the two parties, in charge of the process of "Russian Export Center". The negotiators emphasize that potential Balkan buyers are interested in the environmental friendliness of production, relative affordability and high taste.
It will not be superfluous to note that the Krasnodar Territory, in which the Matsesta plantations are based, is the only region in the Russian Federation where tea is grown in large quantities. In 2018, about 508 tons of high-quality tea leaves were collected from plantations in Sochi and its suburbs.
