Frozen jam currant preserves for the winter
The classic recipe includes berries and sugar. Their ratio may vary depending on the preferences of the hostess. If the harvest was large, and you do not have time to process it immediately, you can freeze the berries in the freezer for subsequent processing or use in various dishes as an ingredient.

- Pre-sort the berries, remove the damaged ones and rinse well.
- Grind with a hand blender.
- To remove the bones, the mass must be wiped through a sieve, using a juicer or a food processor.
- Prepared mashed potatoes must be weighed to calculate the required amount of sugar. The ratio of fruit mass to sugar should be 2: 1. In our case, about 2 kg of mashed potatoes are obtained from 2 kg of berries, in which 700 g of sugar should be added.
- The mass is put on fire and boiled for 5 minutes.
- After this time, you need to remove the foam and put the product into sterile jars.
- Cool by air.
- Cover and refrigerate.
Important! Jam under a metal cover may be stored indoors without temperature changes. A sharp drop affects the density of the product and can cause the lid to break.

- Sort raspberries, removing damaged fruits. You do not need to wash it for this recipe.
- Pass it through a meat grinder for grinding.
- Wash the currant berries, remove the leaves and mashed berries. The green branches on which the fruits are attached do not need to be removed either.
- Grind 700 g currants in a meat grinder, like raspberries.
- Pour another 300 g of whole currant berries without tails into the mixture.
- Add sugar there.
- Put cold jam in sterile jars or plastic molds and put in the freezer.
