Poultry farming in Ukraine is experiencing its golden time. Over the year, the number of poultry in the country increased by 5 million 482.3 thousand heads, according to data obtained by the State Statistics Service.

As of March 1, 2019, 203 million 13.9 thousand birds were registered in agricultural enterprises of all forms of ownership. Last year, on March 1, the country had 197 million 531.6 thousand goals.

Individual private farms increased the number of farmed poultry by 273 thousand - up to 82 million 261.7 thousand individuals. Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine as of March 1 this year had a poultry population of 120 million 752.2 thousand individuals. Last year, the number of poultry in these enterprises was 115 million 543.3 thousand heads.

Recall that domestic breeding of chickens is actively developing, receiving government support. The poultry houses of Ukraine are constantly increasing their exports, which allows the country to maintain its status of a net exporter of poultry meat for five consecutive years.

Last year, chicken became a leader in the export of animal products, which gave Ukraine $ 500 million in revenue. Yuriy Kosyuk agricultural holding Mironovsky bakery product, which is the largest chicken producer in the country, provided $ 450 million of this amount.
