This year was significant for the Kherson region - a crop of exotic figs, cornel, persimmon and pomegranate was harvested on the fields of the region. In addition, local farmers grew jujube unusual for Ukrainian vegetable gardens.
According to farmers, the cultivation of such crops in our country is a real achievement, which has great potential.
According to the staff of Kherson Agrarian University, persimmon is a fairly resistant plant. But it has a subtle specificity of care and cultivation. One must have almost talent in order to grow such a culture in his personal plot. But Ukrainians set ambitious goals.
“In past years, we collected a maximum of two buckets of persimmons per season,” the farmers of the village of Golaya Pristan share their impressions. “This year we improved the technique and as a result received as many as six buckets of fruit.”
