Another case of African swine fever was recorded on April 13, 2019 in the Kirovograd region, as reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Food and Beverage Service in the Kirovograd region.
On the territory of the forest tract "Taranovo-2" of the Olkhovatsky forestry of the Gaivoronsky district of the Kirovograd region, a dead body of a wild boar was revealed.
Specialists of the State Food and Beverage Service took a sample of biological material, which was sent to the Cherkasy Regional State Laboratory of the State Food and Beverage Service. Through laboratory tests of the selected biomaterial, a diagnosis was made - African swine fever (ASF).On April 14, 2019, an emergency antiepizootic commission of the Gaivoron district state administration held a meeting to coordinate the localization and elimination of the outbreak of African swine fever. During the meeting, an action plan for the elimination of ASF was approved and the boundaries of the epizootic focus, protection and surveillance zones, as well as other measures in accordance with the requirements of the current instruction, were identified.
The epizootic situation of the livestock of domestic and collective pigs in the adjacent areas of the Kirovograd region is defined as favorable. Now farms are accounting for pigs.
