According to analysts, the volumes of import of jam and jams in Ukraine in 2018. At the same time, significant changes occurred in the list of leading exporters of products to the Ukrainian market.

The main suppliers of sweet products to the Ukrainian market were such states as Greece and Ecuador. The share of imports from each country was 14% or 1.1 and 1 thousand tons, respectively. It is interesting that back in 2017, these countries were not even among the five largest suppliers of the product, occupying 7 and 20 lines of the general list. Recall that the largest number of jams and marmalades in 2017 were purchased from Spain (0.9 thousand tons), Costa Rica and Moldova (0.8 thousand tons each).In monetary terms, imports of jam and jams showed a slightly lower growth - only 29%. For comparison, if in 2017 the import of these products cost Ukraine $ 7.2 million, then in 2018 the country spent on the purchase of jams and saw $ 9.3 million.
Earlier it was reported that the company “Ukrainian Berry” from the Zhytomyr region in 2019 plans to expand the planting area under the strawberry garden by another 5 hectares. The total area under this crop will be 10 ha.Share
