The unification of the country's territorial communities, made possible by the decentralization reform, needs to be completed this year so that all Ukrainians can feel the benefits of the reform and appreciate the new quality of life, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman at a meeting of the Regional Development Council in Vinnitsa.
Vladimir Groisman calls decentralization a new philosophy of life and considers community development a priority in agricultural policy. The Prime Minister emphasizes that in this matter it is necessary to adhere to the strategy of working "today - for the future."
For example, in 2016, the Government approved a strategic plan of action until 2020. It is being implemented, reports are being submitted every quarter. Defined goals are achieved through clear priorities. On the ground there should be the same plans and strategies that the Government of Ukraine has today, summed up V. Groysman.Recall that 69% of Ukrainians, that is, 2/3 now live in the territory of the united territorial communities. As of February 5, 2019, the total number of OTG in Ukraine is 806 units. About 70 more communities are awaiting the decision of the Central Election Commission on the conduct of elections.
